Authentic Musicianship
An artist performing brilliantly in a variety of styles including jazz, big band, pop, rock, R&B, funk, and Brazilian, Aldo pursues an active free-lance career performing in various settings including studio, musicals, concerts and touring.

"I strive to play each style as if it's the only style I know, trying to master each as authentically as possible."

The latest technology from electronic to acoustic instruments allows the delivery of performances that meet today's hi-tech demands for authentic sounds.

Born in Los Angeles, California, Aldo spent many hours watching his grandfather, an accomplished string maker and musician, make instruments. Fascinated by watching famous musicians play his grandfather's instruments, he began studying Classical Piano at the age of seven and began playing the drums at the age of eight. Studies included piano, drums, marching bands, drums corps, orchestra, classical snare drumming, timpani, and mallets & drum set with John "Terry" Tirabasso.

"John was a huge influence on me. He gave me the inspiration and dedication that has been with me through my career."

Aldo attended Pasadena City College where he studied with Gary Foster and Bobby Bradford, marched in the Tournament of Roses Honor Band and started working in the Los Angeles area with various acts.

While attending California State University, Long Beach where he obtained his Bachelor's degree in Music, he studied with John Prince (writer, composer) professor of Commercial Music/Jazz Studies and orchestrator of one of the country's most respected jazz-education programs. Addition studies included classical percussion with Los Angeles Opera's percussionist Greg Goodall and privately with Alex Acuna, Dave Garibaldi, and Peter Erskine.

Aldo currently lives in Pasadena, California.
